Pilsen hosted the thirteenth international LivCom Awards
The final of this prestigious international contest, assessing quality of life and approach to the environment, was held in the Czech Republic in 2009 for the first time. It was the sixth time the awards had been held in Europe.
The City of Pilsen, which had already had success in four years of this prestigious contest, was proud to be holding the thirteenth year of the awards. Pilsen played host to 300 delegates from all over the world, all keen to show that their towns and cities are worth living in. Over 50 countries of the world had been involved in the contest since it started, and it had won the support of the UN's Environment Programme. The thirteenth LivCom Awards was held under the aegis of the Environment Ministry of the Czech Republic.
